Business processes (GP)

Business processes are part of a company’s process organization and are a collection of logically linked activities that are performed to achieve a business goal. Each process shows in logical order: who (employee) does what (activity), when (order), how (input), with what result (output) for whom (customer)?

Business processes are categorized into three categories: leadership processes (e.g., controlling), core processes (e.g., purchasing, production, sales), and support processes (e.g., HR).
